This Position can be based out of one of three locations (Zephyrhills/High Spring/Lee), and mostly hybrid/remote, with approximately 40% statewide travel!!!

Job Description

The Natural Resource Manager (NRM) is a high-profile position within the organization requiring a professional with a scientific background and the ability to navigate and build relationships in a complex and fast-moving environment. The NRM has the responsibility of managing the existing water supplies, exploration for new water supply opportunities, and the development of new water sources. The NRM must be an autonomous individual who possesses strong written and verbal communication skills, be a solid leader with both tactical and strategic thinking and have well developed technical skills. The NRM also must have a professional approach that is organized, collaborative, innovative, and customer focused.

LOCATION: The NRM will be based at their choice of one of the three bottling facilities in Florida . The locations of the bottling facilities are: 1) Zephyrhills, 2) High Springs, and 3) Lee. Frequent travel to other BTB bottling facilities and spring water sources within Florida will be required. There may be infrequent travel to other BTB facilities outside of Florida.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Water Source Management:

• Manage resources to ensure compliance with all regulatory and company requirements, including periodic internal and external audits, technical guidance, and quality standards.

• Ensure the sustainable use of water resources such that the use can be maintained indefinitely without adverse environmental, economic, or social impacts.

• Ensure spring water is available to the bottling facilities within the assigned geography.

• Maintain all existing water source sites within the geographic area of responsibility, including but not limited to: site security requirements, operations and environmental monitoring, general site maintenance, quality and sanitation requirements, as well as site appearance.

• Effectively coordinate and manage the work of contractors, consultants, and employees.

• Manage/participate in tactical and long-term spring water capacity objectives to support the respective producing locations within the geographic area of responsibility.

• Manage the identification, monitoring/testing, permitting, and development of new spring water sources and non-spring water supplies for the assigned geographic area.

• Develop and maintain business relationships with third-party water source owners.

• Develop effective relationships with local, regional, State and Federal government and regulatory entities.

• Develop relationships with key stakeholders within the communities where the spring sources are located.

• Engage with Non-Governmental Organizations.

• Manage budget for the geographic area of responsibility and prepare accurate monthly financial forecasts.

• Participate in the development, planning, execution and financial management of capital projects.

Qualifications

BASE REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Geology or Hydrogeology

• Engineering degree if there is significant experience in clean water supply work.

• Ten or more years of related experience in water resource development and management.

• Be able to prioritize and manage many responsibilities effectively and efficiently.

• Solid troubleshooting and decision-making skills.

• Leadership experience as the position may have one or more direct reports.

• Good computer skills; with demonstrated practical use of MS Office Applications.

• Strong oral and written communication skills.

• Ability to work in a fast paced and rapidly changing environment.

• Strong initiative and results driven.

• Ability to work additional hours and flexible to travel as required.

• Ability to work outdoors in hot, cold, and wet environments.

• Must be comfortable working alone and also in a team-oriented environment.

PREFERED EXPERIENCE:

• Presenting in public meetings

• Talking to media / news outlets

• Working with local, state, federal regulators and elected officials

• FDA spring water regulations

• Negotiating agreements

• Community relations

• Zoning ordinances and regulations
