Corewell Health Unit Secretary Med Surg in Zeeland, Michigan

About the u nit

The Med Surg Unit is a 29 bed unit with an attached 7 bed ICU.  Adult patients have a variety of diagnosis . Most patients are medical cases. We also see surgical cases including bariatric, total joint, abdominal, podiatry, and more.

Scope of w ork

Performs receptionist/secretarial duties and maintains confidential records, supplies and equipment per hospital and unit specific standards. Greets and directs guests on the unit in a manner that reflects a welcoming environment. Performs computer entry, schedules tests/procedures, processes orders, and performs other related activities per unit/hospital standard within a reasonable time frame .

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required

  • AHA or ARC BLS within 60 days required

  • 2 year s of relevant related experience required
