Robert Half Inventory Clerk in Zeeland, Michigan

Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Inventory Clerk in the manufacturing industry located in Zeeland, Michigan. As an Inventory Clerk, you will play a significant role in maintaining the accuracy of our inventory records through regular cycle counting activities. This role requires meticulous attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular cycle counts of inventory items following the established schedules and procedures.

• Compare physical inventory counts to the inventory system records to verify their accuracy.

• Investigate and resolve any discrepancies between physical counts and system records.

• Collaborate with warehouse and production teams to identify root causes of inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.

• Document all inventory transactions and adjustments to maintain accurate inventory records.

• Monitor inventory levels of critical items and report any shortages or overages to the appropriate stakeholders.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel and Oracle Fusion HCM as part of data entry and record keeping tasks.

• Perform other duties as assigned, which may include using Microsoft Office Suites and performing cycle counts.

• Use your manufacturing industry knowledge to improve inventory tracking and management processes. Requirements • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suites

• Experience in Data Entry

• Familiarity with Cycle Count and ability to Perform Cycle Count

• Previous experience in a Manufacturing or Manufacturing Company setting

• Ability to work with Oracle Fusion and Oracle Fusion HCM

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills

• Good communication and interpersonal skills

• High attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Willingness to learn and adapt to new software and technologies

• Time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines

• High school diploma or equivalent education level

• Ability to lift and carry heavy items when necessary

• Knowledge of inventory management principles and practices
