A Requirements Engineer is challenged to become the go-to source of technical information in a project team. The challenge is met by meeting and working with people inside and outside of engineering and by learning critical details about the novel sensors and materials incorporated in our products.

Job Duties -

The purpose of the Requirements Engineer is to determine and document the requirements that a design must satisfy. What You'll Do:

  • Learn processes and best practices related to requirements engineering.

  • Set and adjust approach to requirements engineering tasks based on input from mentor engineer.

  • Communicate work status to requirements engineering team and project team.

  • Solicit technical input from peers within and outside the requirements engineering team.

  • Collect requirements from external sources like regulations and customer specifications.

  • Collect requirements from internal sources like engineering users, product validation labs, and manufacturing.

  • Refine requirements collected into a level of detail relevant to designers and verifiers.

  • Review requirements developed by other engineers to ensure compliance with standards.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements -

Requirements:

  • 5+ Requirements Engineering

  • Experience with technical writing skills.

  • Proficiency interpreting complex technical specifications, data sheets, and schematics.

  • Experience creating scripts.

  • Experience with Automotive Vehicle BUS internal communications network.

  • Experience with video pathway (serializer, deserializer, camera, display).

  • processes conforming to standards such as ASPICE, DO-178C, DO-254

  • Experience with FMEA - Failure Mode and Affect analysis and severity.

  • Previous experience in Automotive or Aerospace.

  • Receiving and interpreting specs from working with a suppliers as opposed to directly with an OEM.

  • Experience with Electrical PCB, circuit board, and/or electrical components.

  • Expert written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail.

  • Meticulous attention to detail.

  • Requirements management tools such as DOORS, Jama, Polarion, Capterra, Visure

  • Project management tools like Jira, Rally, Azure Dev Ops

  • 4-year degree in Systems, Electrical, Computer or Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.

Desired Skills & Experience -

Software and/ or video processing is a plus.

Experience with any of the following:- functional safety development satisfying ISO 26262 objectives

  • cybersecurity development satisfying ISO 21434 objectives

Experience with 3d design and development software such as CATIA and NX, having worked from a spec.
