Room Attendant This position is responsible for the cleanliness and organization of all guest rooms assigned to him/her shift. Principle Duties and Responsibilities: Stock housekeeping cart.  Duties include: check the supplies list and stock accordingly.  Sign in and out your housekeeping keys. Remove all garbage and soiled linen. Clean sink, toilet, tub, shower wall and floor. Make beds.  Change sheet according to guests wishes. Dust all entire room.  Clean mirrors, windows, window sills, curtain rods, furniture, and luggage racks. Furnish rooms with all the necessary items. Change any burned out lights. Sweep, look for maintenance repairs that are needed. Check for lost and found items, close windows and lock. Side duties include:  Sweep the hallway in front of the assigned rooms, clean off housekeeping cart of all dirty linen, trash and glasses, restock caret in storage room and check with supervisor before clocking out. Physical Demands:  Entire working day involves 45 % bending, 45% lifting and 10% walking.  Other physical demands include bending and lifting blankets, bedspreads and linen ranging in weight of 10-15 pounds, pushing housekeeping carts that range in weight from 40 pounds unstocked to 80 pounds stocked, pulling furniture away from guest walls-the furniture ranging in weight from 75-100 pounds, and considerable arm, forearm, wrist, shoulder and back movement during dusting, vacuuming, mattress flipping and cleaning various parts of all guest rooms.
