Laundry Attendant This position washes, dries, and folds linens. Principle Duties and Responsibilities: Check chemicals.  When changing chemical on washers make sure you note the date the chemical was replaced. Properly load and wash loads: Duties include; Dry on low to medium heat and insure that we are not over drying.  Fold all linen, towels, blankets and spreads as prescribed by Head Housekeeper. Clean lint out of all dryers 3 times a day, clean equipment and areas as needed. Report any equipment malfunctions to supervisor immediately. Turn in lost and found items daily (logged and clear bagged). Stripping rooms when needed, and checking pool area for towels. Check the presses and restock linen as needed throughout the day to help housekeeping and utility. Physical Demands:  Entire working day involves 45 % bending, 45 % lifting and 10% walking.  Other physical demands include bending and lifting blankets, bedspreads and linen ranging in weight of 10-25 pounds, and considerable arm, forearm, wrist, shoulder and back movements during loading and unloading laundry from washer and dryer.
