Title: Hotel Night Auditor

Reports to:Front Office Manager

Location:Hotel

Salary:$20.50 - $26.00 per hour, (DOE)

Classification: Full-time, Non-Exempt

Summary:

The Night Auditor is responsible for reconciling and compiling reports that summarize the Front Desk Business day, making sure that all activities balance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

including the following:

  1. Perform accurate check-ins and check-outs of guest daily.
  2. Acknowledge and greets guest in public spaces with a warm, friendly greeting.
  3. Answer telephone in a timely and professional manner.
  4. Make reservations over the phone and in person and ensure all aspects of the room reservation procedure are followed, including bookings, confirmations, and cancellations.
  5. Processing payments from guest.
  6. Closing, balancing, and making necessary corrections to guest accounts.
  7. Verify revenue from all sources is accurately balanced, follow up on any discrepancies.
  8. Perform all end of day procedures.
  9. Complies a Daily reports as directed by the Hotel Director.
  10. Makes copies of all reports and delivers to necessary Hotel departments.
  11. Must follow Purpose and Values model at all times.
  12. Shall be polite and maintain a priority system in accepting other position related job duties as assigned

WORKING CONDITIONS and ENVIRONMENT

  1. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
  2. Must be available to work in a smoke-filled environment.
  3. Must be able to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays.
  4. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.

Requirements:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge and skills or abilities required.

  1. Must be at least 21 years of age
  2. High School diploma or GED (required) with one or more years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  3. Apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two step instructions.
  4. Must possess reasonable ability to communicate in English.
  5. Highly self-motivated and directed.
  6. Must be able to effectively communicate in English.
  7. Strong attention to detail.
  8. Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  9. Planning, Remembering Details, using arithmetic, Reading, Directing Others, Making Decisions, Working Rapidly, Working at Various Tempos, Concentrating Amid Distractions, Remembering Names and Faces, Examining and Observing Details.
  10. Pleasant telephone voice and manner required.
  11. Proven analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities.
  12. Must be able to solve mathematical problems of at least 5 digits with 2 decimals.
  13. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  14. Extensive experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  15. Must possess and maintain a valid state drivers license and be insurable by the RRCs insurance carrier.
  16. Willing to travel and participate in training as recommended or required.
  17. Must have a Tribal Gaming License (or the ability to obtain and maintain a license) as a requirement for this position.
  18. Must have employment eligibility in the U.S.
  19. Must adhere to confidentiality policy.
  20. Must successfully pass a drug screening test and criminal background check.
  21. Indian preference will be observed in the hiring process.
