Title: Staff Graduate Assistant Employee Classification: GS - Graduate Student - Stipend Pay Grade: AC 11 Division: Academic and Student Affairs Subdivision: Honors College Department: Academic Affairs Campus Location: Main Campus General Summary This position works closely with the Assistant Director of The Honors College to develop stimulating, well-branded, and effective communications for student programming, signature events, alumni outreach, and recruitment activities. In addition, other marketing content in print and digital formats may be required. Additional responsibilities include managing the Honors College social media accounts, contributing solid ideas and concepts for social media success, and overseeing the design of the Honors College weekly newsletter. Principal Duties and Responsibilities Plan and implement marketing materials for student programming tailored to the Honors College community. Produce flyers and other media to advertise Honors College signature events. Assist with revisions and updates to the College website; oversee and aid with photography, including editing and distribution. Manage and assist with production and distribution of the Honors College Weekly Newsletter. Aid in alumni outreach, including maintaining an Honors alumni database. Provide functional supervision over the undergraduate students that staff the Marketing Team. Assist with all Honors College events, Honors Kickstart, Annual Honors College Picnic, Soaring Higher Induction Ceremony, Honors College Commencement, etc. Aid the honors staff with all recruitment initiatives, including (but not limited to): Attending admissions events and presenting on behalf of the Honors College. Help with the planning of the Presidential Scholarship Competition. Assist Student Success Graduate Assistant with coordinating A Night with the Honors College. Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must be enrolled in a graduate program, preferably in Integrated Marketing Communications, Communication, Business Administration, or a related field.
Maintaining a GPA of 3.0 or higher is required.
Maintaining a 67% course completion rate or higher is required.
Enrollment in at least six credits for Fall and Winter semesters is required.
Demonstrate exemplary skills in oral and written communication
Comfortable managing and editing both print and social media
Demonstrate exceptional organization, project, and time management skills
Experience and commitment to work within a diverse, multicultural environment.
This position requires a 20-hour weekly work commitment. Appointment Percentage: 100%
