Position Overview:

PlanITROI is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Parts and Inventory Supervisor to oversee the management of parts and inventory within our IT asset disposition (ITAD) operations. The ideal candidate will have experience managing inventory in a fast-paced environment, particularly within the ITAD sector. This role is essential for ensuring accurate inventory records, efficient parts management, and supporting the overall operational needs of the company.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the inventory of IT assets and parts, ensuring accurate records and availability of necessary components.
  • Develop and implement inventory control procedures to optimize stock levels and minimize excess or obsolete inventory.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts to ensure accuracy and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Manage the procurement, storage, and distribution of parts and components required for ITAD operations.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to obtain parts, negotiate terms, and ensure timely delivery.
  • Maintain organized storage systems to facilitate easy access and efficient use of parts.
  • Utilize inventory management software to track parts and inventory levels, generate reports, and analyze data for decision-making.
  • Ensure accurate entry and updating of inventory records in the system, including part numbers, quantities, and locations.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance inventory accuracy, reduce waste, and streamline parts management operations.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for inventory and parts management.
  • Lead, train, and supervise inventory and parts management staff, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Foster a collaborative and productive work environment, providing guidance and support to team members.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards, including ISO9001, ISO14001, and R2V3.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to health and safety guidelines and conducting regular safety inspections.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including ITAD, logistics, and sales, to support their parts and inventory needs.
  • Address and resolve any issues related to inventory shortages, overstock, or parts availability.

Requirements and Experience:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in inventory and parts management, preferably within the ITAD or technology sector.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management principles, IT parts, and components.
  • Proficiency in using inventory management software and tools. Experience with ERP systems is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ab lity to coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Familiarity with industry regulations and standards, such as ISO9001, ISO14001, and R2V3.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
