HS Teacher: Serves as the lead educator in a classroom of Head Start Children by planning, implementing, and overseeing all classroom activities. This position works with typically developing children as well as children with disabilities, serves as a social service referral person and also shares in the responsibility of parent involvement in the program. Assistant Teacher HS: Assist Lead Teachers in planning and implementing learning experiences that advance the intellectual, emotional, social, and physical development of children within a safe, healthy learning environment. They encourage the involvement of the families of the children of the program and support the development of relationships between children and their families. Family Advocate: Responsible for making home visits and assisting children and families by providing resources and making referrals. Services as a liaison between family/client and community services; helps implements eligibility, recruitment, selection, enrollment and attendance. Responsible for the accuracy and maintenance of child files, enrollment applications, etc. Pregnancy Support Specialist: Assists and supports pregnant mothers and expectant families to obtain comprehensive prenatal care. This care includes appropriate nutrition, oral health care, mental health support, and prenatal education, as well as access to postpartum health care.
