Northern States Metals in Youngstown, OH is seeking to hire CNC Programmer / Supervisor.

The CNC Programmer / Supervisor position is responsible for producing machined parts by programming, setting up and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine, sustaining quality and safety standards, keeping records, maintaining equipment and supplies, and scheduling of employees, while continuously monitoring and providing guidance within our team through resources, skills and knowledge to solidify our successes.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC programming and machining processes.

 

Key Job Responsibilities:

Reads and interprets blueprints

Properly and safely loads and unloads castings and raw materials in CNC machinery

Uses gauges and measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements

Understands, interprets and edits G-code programming

Utilized and abides by ISO requirements and safety procedures

Complies with all quality policies, specifications, regulations and instructions

 

Requirements:

Must have at least 3 years of experience

Must have a valid Driver's License

 

Additional Job Details:

We work 4 ten-hour days (Monday -- Thursday)

We offer Day Shift (5am -- 3pm) and Afternoon Shift (3pm -- 1am)

Hourly Wage: $28 - $32

What brand of machines and controls do you have experience with?

Did you perform your own setups? If yes, describe some of the fixtures and steps taken to achieve the setup.

What are the machine axes on a Vertical Milling Center (VMC)?

What is: G54, G01, M03, M30, G81, G90, G43, and M06?

Did you write your own programs? By hand or with Software?
