Sodexo is seeking a dynamic Registered Dietitian (Schools) for York County Public Schools located in beautiful Yorktown, Virginia, near Williamsburg. This is a full-time position working Monday - Friday, 7:30-4pm. School Food Service experience is not required!

The successful candidate will:

• partner closely operations management in selecting healthy menu items and ensuring recipe adherence;

• interact with our students and promote nutrition education programs including our district hydroponic program;

• work with nutrition concerns related to food allergies and other medical issues requiring meal selection assistance;

• participate in Health Fairs, community events and develop and deliver presentations as needed to support client goals; and/or

• provide direction for planning strategic goals, standards of the brand and maintaining effective communication with other managers and inter-department liaisons.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement:

Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)

For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24:

Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)

Credentials Requirement:

Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire. In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire

Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire
