IBM Back-End Software Developer in Yorktown Heights, New York

Introduction

Your role and responsibilities

  • Develop and implement virtualized Trusted Platform Module (vTPM) for AMD Secure Virtual Machines.

  • Act as an engineer in the open community driving the open‐source Secure VM Service Module (SVSM) project to follow the progress and direction of the community and advocate for the requirements in the project.

  • Participate in the development and enhancement of Linux Kernel for Confidential Computing and Container.

  • Collaborate with Red Hat to integrate confidential containers in Red Hat OpenShift.

  • Assist with the development of confidential computing solutions for the company’s cloud.

  • Define extension of confidential computing features to accelerators, such as GPUs.

  • Work in defining a Secure Electronic Design Automation (EDA) offering as a service for the company, specifically focusing on securing memory, disk and network components of the application.

  • Utilize: Linux kernel development, Firmware Development, Trusted Platform Module (TPM), Virtual Machines, OpenShift, and Kubernetes.

Required technical and professional expertise

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related and two (2) years of experience as a Software Developer, Software Engineer or related.

Two (2) years of experience must include utilizing Linux kernel development, Firmware Development, Trusted Platform Module (TPM), Virtual Machines, OpenShift, and Kubernetes.
