MIDDLE SCHOOL ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL - 11 Months

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

• Valid N.Y.S. teaching certificate

• Valid N.Y.S. School Building Leader Certificate or equivalent

• Minimum of 5 years successful teaching and/or administrative experience

  QUALIFICATIONS DESIRED:

• Administrative or teaching experience at the secondary level.

• Background in the implementation of instructional technology, curriculum mapping, and professional development.

• Background in integration of MTSS systems to inform instructional practices.

• Knowledge of special education processes and programming

• Evidence of strong instructional leadership and team building skills

• Experience, knowledge, and background related to N.Y.S. learning, standards and assessments

• Evidence of strong communication skills and positive interpersonal relationships with parents, staff, and students

• Evidence of strong speaking and writing skills

• Knowledgeable about the lives of secondary school students and a strong advocate for their success

• High energy and considerable personal and professional integrity

• Able to perform as a visible and effective leader in both long-range planning and daily operations of the school and district.
