Job Title: Welder

Job Description

The Production Welder will perform a variety of functions within the Weld Fabrication department, welding and fabricating parts to create bakery systems.

Responsibilities

  • Perform stainless TIG and MIG welding and Carbon Steel MIG welding.

  • Read and interpret Blueprint drawings.

  • Use metric system measurements.

  • Perform own set-ups and work with minimal supervision.

  • Use personal hand tools.

  • Weld materials ranging from 20 gauge sheet metal to thick wall tube.

  • Grind and dress welds for sanitary equipment.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in stainless TIG and MIG welding.

  • Proficiency in Carbon Steel MIG welding.

  • Ability to read and interpret Blueprint drawings.

  • Familiarity with metric system measurements.

  • Ability to perform own set-ups and work with minimal supervision.

  • Experience welding on materials as thin as 20 gauge sheet metal to thick wall tube.

  • Experience grinding and dressing up welds for sanitary equipment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • 2+ years of TIG welding on Stainless Steel and Aluminum.

  • 2+ years of MIG welding on Stainless Steel and Aluminum.

  • Basic fabrication skills.

  • Experience in a food grade weld shop.

Work Environment

Production weld and fabrication shop. Familiarity with working in a food grade weld shop is essential. Steel-toe boots are required. All other personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided. This is a first shift position from 6 am to 2:30 pm, with breaks at 8 am, 10 am, and a 30-minute lunch from 12 to 12:30 pm. Additional breaks will be added when overtime is required.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of York, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
