Rise Baking Company Warehouse Operator - 2nd Shift Freezer in York, Pennsylvania
Job Purpose
Position exists to perform freezer duties with the utmost concern of receiving inbound freight and shipping finished products with accuracy & safety while maintaining safety, inventory control and cleanliness.
Essential Functions
Perform all assignments in accordance with established safety policy, procedures, and best practices with specific adherence to proper ergonomics, GMPs, food safety, use of machinery, chemical safety, forklift procedures, basic facility awareness.
Operators will be assigned specific duties depending on shift and skill level.
Pick orders for customers as specified by bill of lading – pull pallet, piece pick, load pallets, etc.
Unload trucks with products from co-packer or other facilities.
Ensure all products coincide with delivery information. Inspects all incoming freight by comparing description and quantity against shipper’s bill of lading.
Report all discrepancies to the Shift Lead and/or Warehouse Manager.
Move completed product from production staging areas and put away in warehouse.
All operators use handheld scanner to track product internally and externally when loading or unloading trucks and putting away production in WMS/JBA inventory systems.
Accuracy of the RF system is required.
Complies with all plant policies, procedures, and practices.
Responsibility to work and act safely in accordance with all policies
Responsibility to report safety hazards to people or product and comply with all Good Manufacturing Practices
Complies with all GMP’s and IFS requirements.
Tracking specific items to be determined at a later time.
Must be able to take direction from shift lead and Warehouse manager.
Receive ingredients/products for plant use correctly and accurately.
Cycle count raw and finished goods when time allows, or assistance as needed.
Move trailers as necessary on Rise lot.
Other duties as assigned by Management.
All employees must keep area clean and be responsible for cleaning during down time, during changeovers and at the end of a shift. Clean as you go to maintain cleanliness.
Must be able to tolerate potential allergens: peanut products, egg, dairy, gluten, soy, seafood and shellfish.
Comply with all food safety requirements, training, policies, and procedures
Must have a 95% error-free rate in product shipment by utilizing shipment review documents.
Must, where preventable, not short-ship product to the end user.
Must ensure 100% receiving accuracy for shipments delivered for production consumption.
Must not have more than 5 allotted errors per quarter in the form of scanning and movement of product to and from inventory.
Must prevent product damage/loss when finished goods are put away or moved in the freezer
Ensure products meet the requirements of the SQF Food Safety Code by reporting to a leader, supervisor, or manager any instances or conditions that would negatively affect the products quality, food safety, or regulatory requirements.
Back up for this position is other Freezer Forklift Operators and Material Handlers

Qualifications (Education/Experience)
High School diploma or equivalent
Basic computer skills
Good verbal/written communication skills
Above average math skills
One year warehouse/shipping experience
Certified to operate motorized material handling equipment
Valid PA Driver’s License
Ability to lift 50-100 pounds
Must be willing to work in a cold environment for a full shift ( up to -10 degrees F)
Ability to learn to move trailers in Rise lot using jockey truck or equivalent
Must be able to read, speak and write in English.
