Manpower is currently assisting a local tooling company, in York PA in their search for a Quality Inspector. As a Quality Inspector, you will perform inspection of strip for loose piece terminals to ensure conformance to blueprint and quality specifications. Stop your search and apply today!

What you will be doing?

Performs microscope inspection of reeled terminals to examine for visual defects such as deformations, chip marks, tool marks, misfeeds, burrs, fractures, dimple appearance, flaking of plating, discoloration of plating and similar characteristics.

Performs mechanical inspection of reeled or loose piece terminals following established inspection procedures and prescribed inspection instruments such as a comparator, micrometer, functional gages, special gages, various plug gages, go-no go gages, fracture testers, etc. Utilizes various inspection equipment to inspect such factors as barrel width, height, length, dimple, bow, straightness, symmetry, true positions and other related factors.

Requirements?

Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude. Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices. Must be able to read blueprints and have knowledge of geometric tolerancing.

High school diploma or GED required.

Must have knowledge and understanding of basic math along with shop math.
