JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Penn State York is seeking a part-time Digital Media Specialist to join our Strategic Communications team. This position will work closely with faculty and staff to manage and create digital content and be responsible for web content management, digital analytics, and supporting various marketing and communications initiatives.
This is an on-campus position with the potential for a hybrid and/or flexible schedule. Occasional evening and weekend hours may be required.
Job Duties: Serve as the campus webmaster, managing, creating, and updating content on the campus website. Monitor and report on analytics from digital advertising, the campus website, electronic newsletters, and other digital platforms. Assist in the creation and coordination of marketing and communications materials, including print, electronic newsletters, advertisements, and social media content. Support special events through content creation, photography, and video production. Ensure all digital content is accurate, engaging, and meets deadlines.
Qualifications: Typically requires a bachelor's degree or higher plus one to two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous experience with website content management software (such as Drupal), Adobe Creative Suite, email marketing platforms (MailChimp or Constant Contact), Google Analytics, and Microsoft Office 365 is preferred. Strong attention to detail, excellent time management, and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple projects, produce accurate work, and meet deadlines. High level of self-direction and a willingness to learn new software programs.
