Robert Half HR Generalist in York, Pennsylvania

Description

We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist with a strong background in the manufacturing industry. As an HR Generalist, you will perform a broad range of HR functions including employee relations, recruitment, benefits administration, training and development, performance management, policy implementation and employment law compliance. The successful candidate should have a deep understanding of HR principles and practices, and possess the ability to address complex HR issues within a fast-paced, evolving work environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with day to day operations of the HR functions and duties.

  • Support the recruitment process by creating job descriptions, posting ads, shortlisting, interviewing and selecting candidates.

  • Act as liaison between the company and outside legal and professional resources to ensure that all employment policies follow current laws and regulations.

  • Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation.

  • Administer benefits, compensation, and employee performance programs.

  • Conduct effective, thorough and objective investigations when necessary.

  • Collaborate with management to develop and implement HR plans and solutions.

    Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field

  • At least 5 years of experience in Human Resources

  • Proven experience as an HR Generalist in a manufacturing setting.

  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines: compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee and union relations, diversity, performance management, employment laws.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.
