Pay rate: $21/hr

Job Description

We are seeking a General Laborer to work at our concrete plant located in York Haven, PA. This is an entry-level position that requires physical strength and the ability to lift 50 lbs or more on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

• Break down molds of concrete pieces that have cured overnight.

• Pull out 'green concrete' from the molds, clean out the molds, scrape out excess concrete, and prep the forms for the next pour.

• Operate saws and other hand tools as required.

• Prepare molds and set in re-bar with spacers.

• Clean up the area by sweeping and shoveling concrete scraps.

• Assist in smoothing poured concrete in the second part of the day to cure overnight.

Essential Skills

• Previous construction experience or experience in a heavy manufacturing setting.

• Basic math skills and the ability to convert measurements.

• Experience with hand and power tools.

• Proficiency in using a tape measure with 1/16" measurement accuracy.

• Ability to lift and maneuver 50 lbs+ regularly throughout the workday.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Direct experience with concrete manufacturing, preferably pre-cast and/or rebar.
