Job Title: CNC Set-Up Machinist

Job Description

The CNC Set-Up Machinist will be responsible for setting up CNC Lathes and some Mills in our Machine Shop. The successful candidate will handle everything from taking initial blueprints and programs to documenting processes to align with ISO standards. This role involves selecting appropriate tooling, performing initial setups and first particle inspections, and documenting the setup process. You will also collaborate with Engineering to generate a complete set of Operation Prints and setup documentation for each new job.

Work Environment

The role is based in a 110,000 square foot Machine shop with 50-60 machining centers, including Manual Machines, CNC Lathes, and CNC Mills. The team includes under 50 employees, primarily machinists or CNC operators, along with assemblers and shipping associates. This is a clean, well-maintained facility that operates on a day shift, Monday to Friday, with start times varying from as early as 6 am to as late as 9 am.
