Aerotek CNC Setup Machinist in York, Pennsylvania

Description:

The CNC Set-Up Machinist will be responsible for the setting up of CNC Lathes and some Mills in the Machine Shop. They are expected to be highly experienced in setting up CNC Machines of various axis and styles. They will be responsible for taking a blueprint and program, then documenting the process to get in line with ISO standards.This is a day shift role Mon-Fri. Hours can vary, but start times may be as early as 6am, or as late as 9am.

Each new job process will involve:

  • Taking initial blueprint and program

  • Select proper tooling and perform initial set up and first particle inspection

  • Document the set up process, tooling needed, etc to generate an Op Print for each step in the machining process

  • Partner with Engineering to generate full set of Op Prints and Set up documentation for each new job

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • 5+ Years of CNC Set Up Experience

  • 5+ Years of CNC Lathe Set Up

  • 5+ Years working in an ISO standard machine shop

  • Experience with CNC Mill Set Up a plus

  • FANUC Controls Experience a MUST

  • Mazak and Mazatrol Experience a PLUS

  • MUST have the interest and ability to develop the documentation piece of this role
