Distillation Process Technician will be in charge of the operation of the Solvent Recovery Plant and will provide support as needed to the PESU Casting Line located at MC Building.

Grow with us- Your Responsibilities & Tasks:

  • Operates batch or continuous distillation units composed of 4 skids to separate a mixture of IPA, Water, 2 Pyrrolidone and glycerin within the purity target criteria set forth in the final product specifications.
  • Turns control valves and observes recording instruments and gauges to attain temperatures, material flow rate, pressure, or vacuum specified for distillation of designated product as per approved SOP's.
  • Compute variances between laboratory analysis and product specifications, using prescribed formula to determine temperature and flow-rate adjustments.
  • Observe gauges to verify quantities of chemical materials in feed and hold tanks of distillation units.
  • Keep distillation records as required in the SOP following the Good Manufacturing Practice (GDP).
  • Conduct Inspection of all the storage tanks, pipes racks, utilities and control room panels, ensure safety of distillation activities and ensure compliance with the applicable regulations.
  • Identify and reports problems or potential hazards by monitoring instrumentations such as flow meters, pressure gauges, temperature thermocouple, etc.
  • Organize and classify records of prepared reports and emails related to the performed work and progress records of task.
  • Keep clean tanks dikes, pipes and production areas using water hose and brush.
  • Manage chemical and flammable products in a safe manner.
  • Use computer equipment or digital devices to facilitate quality control, data management and communication.
  • Perform disposal of non-hazardous and hazardous waste in coordination with the EHS Department.
  • Take tanks samples and deliver it for analysis in the MC Building Laboratory.
  • Drain dikes according to approved SOP.
  • Provide support to MC Building operations as needed.
  • Working at heights and climbing sometimes necessary.
  • Completely Bilingual

What will convince us- Qualification & Skills:

  • BS Natural Sciences (Chemistry, Biology or Related field).
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience is required in chemical plant operations, pharmaceutical manufacturing or biotechnology, preferably.
  • Available to work shift E and shift D.
