    Job Summary

  • The Certified Dietary Manager is accountable for ensuring adequate nutritional care to long-term residents in accordance with our policies and procedures and state and federal guidelines.

  • A primary purpose of the position is to enhance the resident’s quality of life by working closely with the Household Coordinator-RN to effectively manage the household.

  • Supports the organizational goal of excellence in resident care in a Christian, Caring environment by facilitating positive employee relations and supporting department goals.

  • Performs all duties and responsibilities in such a way as to demonstrate and support the hospital's Catholic heritage and Avera co-sponsorship values of hospitality, compassion and stewardship.

  • Provides care/service in accordance with regulatory and accrediting agencies standards and Catholic Religious Directives for healthcare.

    Education and/or Experience

  • Technical Degree preferred

  • Completed or in the process of completing the certified dietary manager course, dietetic technician or equivalent schooling

    Certification/Licensure/Registrations

  • CDM or CFPP certification within 2 years of employment

  • Certified Nurse Assistant preferred

    Work Schedule

  • Schedule to be determined, 8-hour shifts; 80 hours every 2 weeks

    Pay

    The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

  • $19.00 - $23.50 per hour
