Job Summary: The Accounting Associate will support the finance department by performing a variety of accounting tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, and financial reporting. This role requires a high level of accuracy, organization, and a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Accounts Payable:

  2. Process and verify invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports.

  3. Ensure timely payment to vendors and resolve any discrepancies.

  4. Maintain accurate records of all transactions and ensure compliance with company policies.

  5. Accounts Receivable:

  6. Generate and send invoices to customers.

  7. Monitor and follow up on overdue accounts to ensure timely collection.

  8. Reconcile customer accounts and resolve any billing issues.

  9. General Ledger Maintenance:

  10. Post and reconcile journal entries and transactions.

  11. Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual closing procedures.

  12. Review and analyze account balances and financial statements.

  13. Financial Reporting:

  14. Prepare and maintain financial reports and statements.

  15. Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.

  16. Provide support for internal and external audits.

  17. Compliance and Documentation:

  18. Ensure adherence to accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.

  19. Maintain organized and accurate financial records and documentation.

  20. Assist with the implementation and improvement of accounting procedures and controls.

  21. Cross-Functional Support:

  22. Collaborate with other departments to provide financial information and support.

  23. Assist in resolving financial discrepancies and issues as they arise.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Bachelor’s degree is a plus.

  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in accounting or a related role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.

Pay Details: $20.00 to $25.00 per week
