Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Establish packaging and processing specifications at the part number level for new product introductions

• Develop packaging solutions to protect finished painted/casting/machining/sheet metal components

• Communicate with existing supplier/customer facilities on packaging issues related to receiving, warehousing, and/or line side delivery

• Perform cost analysis on current packaging processes and recommend packaging solution changes

• Coordinate with operations team for operation/delivery/storage and ergonomic considerations

• Validate/simulation loading quantities in the package and control the packaging cost in the reasonable level for expendable packaging

• Design for transport efficiency improvement, perform containerization analysis, testing, and quoting

• Validate new packaging and containers during pilot phase and onsite validation in facility

• Resolve safety and / or quality issues caused by current packaging

• Perform activities to ensure parts are protected, shipped, and delivered to the customer in a usable fashion

• Develop, communicate, and maintain supplier packaging requirements, and training skills

• Lead low risk Green Belt projects

• Resolve issues reported by customers and process partners

• Audit conformance to packaging specification

• Joint Process Improvement with packaging vendors and purchasing

• Create packaging concepts using 3D modeling software (i.e., Pro-E)

• Familiar with expendable packaging materials cost level in the market

• Total cost analysis ability to decision the packaging solution/type change

• Project management ability to manage kinds of type working activities and projects

• Daily working items priority setting up and deep drive for the result achievement

Customers include logistics, operations, facility engineering, quality, Product Supply Organizations, and other supply chain functional areas. External contacts include global packaging vendors and product suppliers.

Some travel required (up to 25% working time)

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree (i.e. Packaging, Logistic, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering)

• No less 3 years of packaging or logistic or supply chain experience

• Good Oral English skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to perform data query analysis

• Interpersonal, teamwork, organization and communication skills

• Knowledge and understanding of 6 Sigma project management principles

• Value behavior of Integrity, Teamwork

• Knowledge of material handling equipment
