Job Description

HII has an immediate opportunity for an Acquisition Program Manager Analyst supporting the Propulsion Directorate at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, OH. The candidate will provide a full range of program management support in accordance with DoDD 5000.01, Defense Acquisition System, DoDI 5000.02, Adaptive Acquisition Framework, and AFI 63-101/20-101, Integrated Life Cycle Management guidance and will serve as an adviser to government personnel. Duties will include planning, executing, and controlling acquisition programs through all phases of the acquisition life­cycle.

The ideal candidate for this position is self-motivated, possesses broad U.S. Air Force acquisition experience, is comfortable in a dynamic, fast-paced, collaborative work environment, and can identify and prioritize necessary tasks/activities to ensure program and organizational success.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development of:

  • Documentation of acquisition strategies

  • Program documentation as identified in AFI 63-101/20-101, Integrated Life Cycle Management

  • Statements of Work or Performance Work Statements and other Request for Proposal documents

  • Support:

  • Technical evaluation of program proposals

  • Identification, analysis, mitigation development, and monitoring of program risks, issues, and opportunities

  • Development and analysis of program Integrated Master Schedules

  • Analysis of program cost performance (Earned Value Management) and implementation of corrective actions

Minimum Qualifications

  • Active SECRET clearance with ability to obtain TOP SECRET with SCI (TS/SCI) clearance

  • 10 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field, four (4) of those years must be in DoD Acquisition Programs; or eight (8) years relevant experience with Masters in related field, three (3) of those years must be in DoD Acquisition Programs; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 14 years relevant experience, eight (8) of those years must be in DoD Acquisition Programs

  • Broad knowledge and demonstrated application of DoD and Air Force program management policies and procedures on an ACAT Ill or higher modification program on a major weapon system

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and a part of a collaborative team

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills

  • Propulsion Experience

  • Comprehensive experience developing and maintaining spreadsheets for tracking and analysis

    Desired Technical Experience:

  • Knowledge of:

  • Propulsion systems in support of subsystem definition, development, integration, and testing

  • Requirements development and verification methods to include review of ICD, sustainment, T&E, system architectures, and airworthiness certification across a wide range of hardware and software systems

  • Policies and practices of systems acquisition and program management as defined in Department of Defense Instruction 5000.02 and Air Force Instruction 63-101/20-101

  • Experience with:

  • Time Compliance Technical Order (TCTO) development and validation

  • Reviewing and/or developing AF Form 1067 (Modification Proposals)

  • Fielding new and updated aircraft systems
