POSITION OVERVIEW
DEFTEC Corporation seeks a Junior Activity Security Representative to support our Air Force Research Laboratory Integration & Operations (AFRL/RS) Directorate customer. This position is responsible for providing multi-disciplined security support to an AFRL/RS facility and organization by providing "day-to-day" support for Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), and Special Access Program (SAP) activities.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform destruction of classified materials, process magnetic media for accountability, and maintain various daily logs for a variety of administrative functions associated with document control
Assist in processing inbound and outbound data transfer files and inbound and outbound classified mail and receipt records; prepare facility access control badges; and maintain personnel security files for all personnel of the supported element.
Transfer electronic data files to internal customers
Assist with researching, processing, filing, and maintaining inbound and outbound visit notices, and escort facility visitors and maintain associated logs
Conduct entry and exit inspections
Follow and enforce the customer's Standard Operating Procedures
Provide support for security awareness and education programs
Perform miscellaneous administrative support functions as directed by the DEFTEC's site lead and the Senior Security Representative
Review, track, and monitor security clearance processing activities with appropriate government personnel to achieve appropriate clearance actions
Prepare and process inbound and outbound classified mail, faxes, courier packages, and receipts, and prepare, process, and review Program Access Requests (PARs) for accuracy and access eligibility
Execute Special Access Program Nomination Process Questionnaires
Data entry and record checks in the Joint Access Database Environment (JADE) and maintains all customer-sponsored personnel access information current; also performs Defense Information System for Security (DISS) and SAPNP reviews of candidates being submitted for SAP access.
Provide Conference Room support to include support to the Video Teleconferencing (VTC) manager, assist with VTC bridge scheduling and VTC connectivity, and interface with the VTC maintenance contractor
Provide support to end-users for issues or requests that occur during a conference
Provide Tier 1 AV/VTC support for routine support requests
Maintain and communicate VTC/Conference room schedules for multiple Rooms
Monitor, administer, and troubleshoot network, encryption, VTC, and other devices
Engage and coordinate with outside Agencies, such as DISA and others, to track and resolve network service issues.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Qualifications:
1+ years of Department of Defense security-related experience
Bachelor's Degree
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Active Secret Security Clearance with eligibility to obtain a Top-Secret clearance
Be willing to take a counterintelligence polygraph and be eligible to gain access to Special Access Program Information.
Preferred Qualifications:
Active Top-Secret clearance
