Job Description

PRIMARY ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• May participate on project or process improvement teams to drive enhancements
• Collaborates effectively with staff to accomplish goals
• Understands and applies regulatory/compliance/scientific requirements relative to their role
• Makes basic decisions that involve application of technical knowledge
• Uses established procedures, technologies, and methodologies to complete bioanalytical assignments
• Use of laboratory applications to perform bioanalytical tasks to track samples and/or reagent, equipment related information, document BA experimentation and conduct analysis (e.g., LIMS, reagent inventory tools, data transfer, ELN, etc.)
• Operates following guidelinesto perform general tasks (e.g., sample check-in, equipment maintenance coordination, data transfers, method development, validation or sample testing, etc.)
• Participates in computer system validation activities and may be involved in the development and/or release of new or enhanced systems
• Ability to operate according to SOPs and safety principles
• Basic knowledge of Windows based applications, laboratory equipment and systems (e.g., LIMS, etc.) required to perform job tasks
• Demonstrate good documentation practices (GDP) in all forms of documentation
• Extensive experience with molecular biology assays, examples include but are not limited to DNA and RNA isolation, real-time qPCR, and RT-PCR.

Qualifications

BACKGROUND REQUIREMENTS:

• BA/BS with 1-2 years of experience. Degrees may be in a variety of areas including the biological or chemical sciences, computer sciences, engineering, medical technology, etc.**

Position is first shift, full-time with overtime as needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of West Point, PA are encourgased to apply.
