Worcester Art Museum Bartender in Worcester, Massachusetts
Job Overview: To prepare, sell and serve beverages to customers and maintain a clean, orderly well-stocked bar. Ensure compliance with legal requirements for serving alcoholic beverages. 3 to 10 hours per week. Duties/Responsibilities: \ Set up bar for events providing a variety of alcohol, mixers, and garnishes and break down the bar at the end of events. \ Take and prepare orders for alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages following standard recipes. \ Check identification of customers to ensure compliance with server laws. \ Record beverage sales, collect payments, and make accurate change for customers. \ Maintain, clean, and restock the bar during and after events. \ Provide responsible service of alcoholic beverages and tactfully address situations with customers. \ Perform other related duties as assigned. Requirements \ Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. \ Ability to stand for extended periods and negotiate stairs. \ Ability to operate a cash register, portable credit card machine and handle cash transactions. \ Ability to read, write and use simple arithmetic. \ Ability to follow timelines. \ Embraces and promotes diversity, equity, accessibility, and inclusion initiatives \ Availability to maintain a flexible schedule based on Museum event needs, including nights and weekends. Education and Experience: \ High school graduate or equivalent. \ Minimum 1 year in a similar position. \ Current TIPS Alcohol Training certification or equivalent. Click Here to Apply
