Seaman Corporation is seeking an Accounting Admin to join our SeaCorp Services and Seaman Family Office team! This position will report to Nicole Kennelly, Accountant in Wooster.

POSITION SUMMARY: The Accounting Admin is responsible for providing support to the department by assisting with daily financial operations, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and company policies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Manages accounts receivable and accounts payable processes.
  • Prepares monthly bank reconciliation and reconciles various general ledger accounts monthly.
  • Posting monthly general entries.
  • Running financial statements and other monthly reports.
  • Help compile files required for year-end compilation, Commercial Activity Tax, 1099s and other tax related requirements.
  • Coordinate team meetings and events and prepare agendas. Assist in project management by tracking deadlines and facilitating communication.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate's degree in accounting, Finance, or equivalent work experience; 5 years of bookkeeping/accounting experience required.
  • Experience in bookkeeping for multiple entities.
  • Highly proficient with QuickBooks. QuickBooks Pro-Advisor a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
