Job Description: As an Operations Business Analyst at The Erosion Company, you will play a crucial role in optimizing operational efficiency, streamlining processes, and maximizing profitability. You will work closely with various departments, including operations, finance, and project management, to analyze data, identify trends, and make strategic recommendations to drive business growth. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  1. Data Analysis: Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to operational performance, including project costs, resource utilization, and productivity metrics.

  2. Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in current operational processes and develop strategies to streamline workflows, reduce costs, and enhance productivity.

  3. Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to assess project profitability, budget variances, and revenue forecasts, providing insights to support strategic decision-making.

  4. Reporting: Generate regular reports and dashboards to communicate key performance indicators (KPIs), trends, and actionable insights to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  5. Forecasting and Planning: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop short-term and long-term operational forecasts and plans, aligning with company objectives and market trends.

  6. Continuous Improvement: Proactively seek opportunities for continuous improvement in operational processes, systems, and tools, driving innovation and best practices adoption.

  7. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and vulnerabilities in operational processes and develop mitigation strategies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in college as a Junior or Senior in pursuit of a four year degree.

  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software, such as Microsoft Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality of work. - Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

  • Knowledge of erosion control principles and practices is a plus.
