(CSS) Customer Sales Support

CSS’s are responsible for assisting the TEC Area Sales Manager (ASM) to reinforce TEC’s commitment to meeting the highest level of customer service and quality.

Responsibilities:

  • Review activities/issues each week to meet customer’s needs as efficiently and quickly as possible. Train and coach TEC resource team members to optimize a timely and proactive response and solution as to align customer expectations with TEC’s responsibility to perform contracted work, both materials and instructions. Provide on-the-job training and feedback to improve TEC overall performance.

  • Visit project sites daily to assess the quality of work and ensure customers’ needs are met. Review completed work and assure TEC has billed accurately. Understand and apply benchmarks related to TEC cost, materials, and job margins to continuously improve overall project results. Travel could require up to 25%.

  • Account management and customer service—Develop customer relationships with the ASM by understanding client expectations and specifications, responding to issues in a timely manner, and identifying solutions. Learn the erosion control requirements where TEC has engaged and advised clients on those standards.

  • Business development – in cooperation with the ASM and members of management, assist in winning business with new customers and growing business with current customers. Meet with customers to solicit feedback on TEC’s performance. Serve as a point of contact for existing clients with new work in an accurate and timely manner. By participating in TEC training, external educational opportunities, and industry organizations, become experts in your field and offer that expertise to TEC’s clients.

  • Monitor and evaluate Salesforce entries and customer assignments for the ASM. Assist with maintaining and administering assigned metrics for CRM process and procedures.

    Required Skills:

  • Able to prioritize tasks and communicate information in a fast-paced environment

  • Able to adapt and respond to changing deadlines

  • Strong customer service/account management skills

  • Strong team management skills

  • Good aptitude for math and general analysis

  • Comfortable with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

    Experience:

  • 2-5 years of “exterior” construction (grading, erosion control, landscaping, development) preferred

  • Field and/or team management

  • Demonstrated success in customer service/account management
