This individual will develop and maintain how-to guides, instruction manuals, and other product supporting documents to communicate complex and technical information more easily. They will develop, gather, and disseminate technical information through Hendrickson\'s various communications channels.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Design, develop, and edit new and existing publications as needed using digital publishing software tools including InDesign, CorelDraw, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobatto complete full range of product materials required for all product sales and support initiatives including technical publications, aftermarket sales/promotional material, internal and external web publishing.

Create and update all Hendrickson Truck division technical literature in digital and print format in order to provide complete instructions in assembly and maintenance.

Meet with production, engineering, technical service and field service personnel to become familiar with product technologies, production methods, and installation and service of suspension assemblies.

Study blueprints, sketches, drawings, parts lists, specifications, mock-ups, and product samples to integrate and delineate technology, operating procedure, production and assembly sequence and detail.

Prepare and modify graphic elements for use in desktop publishing and comply design layouts to graphic guidelines. Work with a wide range of media, including photography, vector illustrations and convert or modify to digital standards suitable for publishing in electronic media or commercial printing.

Resolve issues that slow literature development from internal and external resources. Track and report progress of literature development.

Pursue development and distribution of technical product information by using the latest computer technology and alternative media resources.

Develop materials to improve and expedite the order process as well as materials for product training of Customer Service and field personnel.

Coordinate material needs for development of written instructions and acquiring support material for use by external resources.

Work with other department personnel as required to handle rush projects as assigned.

Provide support for miscellaneous activities within the marketing department on an ad hoc basis.

Other duties as assigned.

Interested in applying? Qualifications we are seeking is:

Bachelor\'s degree preferred. Associates Degree required.

Adobe Creative Suite experience required (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator).

Minimum 2 years experience as a technical writer and/or service writer.

Desktop publishing skills including Adobe Creative Suite, literacy with AutoCAD, word processing, spreadsheet and database software programs.

Computer literacy with AutoCAD, MS Office, and database software programs

Knowledge of commercial printing technology - the ability to work directly with outside commercial printers and supervise the translation from digital pre-press and plates for printing presses.

Ability to convert technical information into marketing communications information.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings is a plus

Experience in the production of product catalogs is a plus.

Ability to manage multiple projects and remain flexible through multiple revisions while keeping a keen attention to detail.

Ability to work as part of a team with marketing, engineering, technical services, outside vendors, photographers and graphic designers.
