Position Overview

Navistar is looking for a Sr. Warehouse Associate for our Woodridge IL location!

Our Sr. Warehouse Associate plays a crucial role in the efficient handling and processing of finished goods. This position is responsible for performing administrative duties to support all shipping activities, ensuring smooth coordination with transportation companies, and addressing routine questions and issues that arise throughout the shipping and delivery cycle. The Sr. Warehouse Associate maintains open lines of communication with other departments, verifies the accuracy of invoices and related charges, and manages order information in the computer system. Additionally, this role involves filing and distributing paperwork as needed, maintaining comprehensive records, and generating reports for accounting and other relevant departments.

This is a climate controlled, very clean and brightly lit facility!

Responsibilities

  • Performs administrative duties in support of activities related to the shipping of finished goods

  • Communicates and coordinates with transportation companies

  • Handles routine questions and problems and maintains open communication with other departments throughout the shipping/delivery cycle

  • Confirms the accuracy of invoices, bills and charges relative to the shipment of goods. Logs order information into the computer and files and distributes paperwork as necessary

  • Maintains records and generates reports for accounting and other areas.

Minimum Requirements

  • Associate’s degree

  • At least 1 year of warehouse, traffic, shipping or clerical experience

OR

  • At least 2 years of warehouse, traffic, shipping or clerical experience

Additional Requirements

  • Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Navistar does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)

Desired Skills

  • Forklift experience and certification desired but not required

  • Hazmat experience desired but not required

  • Ability to lift 40+ lbs

  • Experience working in a fast paced environment and being able to prioritize tasks is essential
