This opportunity resides with Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C5ISR), a business group within HII’s Mission Technologies division. Who We Are
HII - Mission Technologies seeks a full-time Insider Threat Analyst who will help identify FIE threats to customer equities and recommend appropriate responses for the Division of Strategic Information (DSI) in the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) effort. This individual will work full-time on-site in Woodlawn, Maryland, and may travel up to 10%. Potential to work 3 days on-site; and 2 days remotely. This CMS effort supports technology development, threat analysis, operations integration, training support, data analytics support, and technology transition assistance.
What You Will Do
Serves as a mid-level analyst on the Insider Threat team examining cyber and network-centric threats, typically triggered by network activity and automated activity profiles.
Conducts investigative actions to understand the circumstances behind cases referred from the Security Operations Center (SOC).
Advises the customer on mitigating measures and actions to resolve the situation.
Conducts meetings with network security engineers to identify resources and parameters required to meet Insider Threat objectives.
Advises the customer on drafting security and insider threat-related policies, procedures, processes and handbooks.
Develops, drafts, and reviews policy, procedures, and processes to conduct an effective insider threat and intelligence analysis program in a non-Title 50 (Non-IC) environment.
Prepares, produces, and disseminates scheduled and ad hoc, formal and informal reports, summaries, and products as directed by [contractor and customer] Senior leadership.
Assists in administering and participating in the Insider Threat Working Group.
Represents the Division at events to highlight and advocate for the Insider Threat program.
Conducts Insider Threat-related training for customers, contractors, and contracting officers/ contracting officer representatives.
What We Are Looking For
5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years of experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
3-10 years of experience and familiarity with insider threat programs.
Certification or experience examining data logs in Splunk, Gurucul, or other User Entity Behavior Analytical (UEBA) tools.
Certification or experience conducting network Cyber Threat Hunting or experience working in a large organization’s network SOC.
Capable of briefing Senior Executive levels on sensitive matters for awareness or decision.
Ability to thrive in a hybrid work environment, achieve deadlines, and swiftly respond to business partner requests with little direct oversight
Must be able to physically be on-site 3-5 days per month in Woodlawn, MD.
US Citizenship required.
Clearance: Must possess and maintain a Top-Secret clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), including willingness to take and pass a Polygraph.

Possess a bachelor’s or master’s degree.
5+ years of Insider Threat program experience.
Must be able to perform all functional duties independently.
Proficiency using the Microsoft Office suite of programs.
Experience conducting counterintelligence or insider threat analysis and/or investigations.
2+ years of experience working in a SOC.
Ability to thrive in a hybrid work environment, achieve deadlines, and swiftly respond to business partner requests with little direct oversight.
