Description

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a meticulous and organized Accounts Payable Specialist in Woodbury, Minnesota. The selected candidate will be working in a fast-paced environment, handling key accounting functions and ensuring smooth operations. The role involves significant data entry and interaction with accounting software systems.

Responsibilities:

• Accurate processing of accounts payable entries

• Handling all accounts payable functions including check processing

• Leveraging accounting software systems to ensure smooth operations

• Proficient use of Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting

• Maintaining and updating records of accounts payable transactions

• Identifying and resolving any discrepancies in accounts payable entries

• Regular monitoring and management of customer credit accounts

• Ensuring timely collection of delinquent payments from customers

• Performing routine audits to ensure accuracy and compliance

• Collaborating with the wider team to streamline accounting functions.

Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Experience with Microsoft Excel

• Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions

• Familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP)

• Experience in Check Processing

• Ability to perform Data Entry tasks accurately and efficiently

• Proven ability to identify and resolve Discrepancy issues

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Knowledge of financial regulations and standards

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred)
