We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Interaction Designer in the packaging industry. Based in New Jersey, this role involves creating innovative packaging designs and improving existing ones, while ensuring they meet both aesthetic and practical requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and create innovative packaging designs that are both visually compelling and functional

• Collaborate with product teams to understand product specifications and create designs accordingly

• Use design software to create detailed design schematics and prototypes

• Conduct market research to stay updated on latest design trends and competitor products

• Work closely with production teams to ensure design feasibility and oversee the manufacturing process

• Understand and adhere to company brand guidelines in all designs

• Continuously improve existing packaging designs to enhance functionality and aesthetics

• Present design concepts and prototypes to stakeholders and incorporate feedback into design iterations

• Ensure all design projects are completed within the given timeline and budget

• Collaborate with marketing teams to develop engaging packaging that aligns with marketing campaigns.

Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Industrial Design, or related field

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Illustrator and Photoshop

• Experience in packaging design in a corporate or agency setting

• Demonstrated understanding of packaging production processes

• Strong portfolio showcasing innovation in packaging design

• Ability to work collaboratively with a team as well as independently

• Excellent communication and presentation skills

• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

• Knowledge of current design trends and techniques

• Familiarity with 3D design tools is advantageous

• Experience as an Interaction Designer is a plus

• Ability to translate marketing concepts into compelling package designs

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Ability to receive and incorporate feedback to improve designs
