Description

Robert Half is offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for an FP& A Manager in the Insurance industry. The successful candidate will be tasked with supervising FP& A staff members, managing team deliverables, and developing financial models and analyses. This role will be fully remote and scheduled to be a six month contract. Prior experience in the insurance industry would be preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee FP& A staff members, ensuring the delegation of duties and performance management.

• Monitor and manage the overall accuracy and timeliness of team deliverables.

• Establish plans and set performance targets to achieve ideal productivity and accuracy standards.

• Lead in the strategic development and formalization of optimized processes, procedures and standards that impact both internal and external clients.

• Prepare, review and distribute periodic reporting (daily, monthly, annually).

• Deliver financial metrics and strategic support to senior management, including the preparation of presentations.

• Develop financial models and analyses as required.

• Oversee the granularity of the budgeting process.

• Manage the continued development of budgeting, reporting, and modeling tools.

• Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing variances.

Requirements

• Possess a bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field; an MBA or related advanced degree is preferred.

• Have significant experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably within the financial services industry.

• Demonstrate strong knowledge of budgeting and forecasting techniques.

• Have strong knowledge of financial reporting and data mining tools such as SQL, Access, and Excel.

• Exhibit excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.

• Display strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex financial information in an understandable manner.

• Show a solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.

• Have experience in working with various departments to develop financial reports and ensure they are completed accurately and on time.

• Be proficient in using financial software and systems.
