Insight Global Systems Security Administrator in Woburn, Massachusetts

Job Description

One of the world's largest DoD and Intel contracting companies is seeking an System Administrator with solid understanding of controls, patching, loading for the overall installation, configuration and maintenance of IT systems, storage, end user hardware, software, cloud, and other infrastructures aligned with customer requirements. This includes end-to-end solutions, including execution of detailed design, implementation, and sustainment activities that ensure functionality, data consistency, security and usability of systems aligned with the intended requirements and consumer priorities. We are specifically looking for a technical resource with a background in security controls and compliance to help complete a proactive security assessment of systems. These individuals will be reaching out to active sites with Linux and Windows servers to ensure compliance an security standards are up to par.

This individual should have an in depth understanding of NIST as well as implementing NIST, RMF and other security protocols. He or she should know how to implement and remediate password policies, administer patch management, and troubleshoot user access and privileged accounts

Must be onsite 5 days a week at one of the following locations:

McKinney Texas area,

El Segundo CA,

Tucson AZ,

Massachusetts, New Hampshire (near the Andover/Tewksbury area)

There could be minimal travel once every few months to major sites.

Compensation: $55/hr to $75/hr

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401K retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.

Skills and Requirements

  • 6+ years System Administrator with both Windows and Linux servers

  • Experience implementing security controls within a DOD space (NIST specifically)

  • Patch Management experience using Windows WSUS version 3 or later to include importing patches and metadata syncing patches to provide a consistent environment.

  • Active Directory Management experience: managing and troubleshooting GPO's, DNS, TCP/IP, and DHCP

  • Experience tuning and troubleshooting system performance

  • Must be solid with LDAP, DNS and networking

  • Experience with VMware/VDI/esx

  • Understanding of Storage Area Network concepts (SAN) Scripting skills (i.e. PowerShell, Python, Ruby, bash, etc.)

Ansible configuration management skills

Terraform or CloudFormation

Kubernetes for containerization

Networking concepts (TCP, firewalls, traffic flows) null
