About the Company:

Central Florida Communities, Inc. (CFC) has warm, welcoming, home-inspired facilities and programs for individuals with developmental disabilities in Orange, Brevard, Lake and Seminole Counties.

CFC also operates 17 Group Homes which are six-bed community integrated homes serving children and adults with developmental disabilities. We specialize in caring for residents with behavioral problems. As a member of our staff, you will be a part of one of these living centers and provide vital around the clock care, which includes nursing and medical oversight, to our residents.

East Coast Contract Industries provides Adult Day Training facility for individuals with developmental disabilities throughout Florida. Our programs offers valuable interactive and educational classes that teach participants how to manage a wide range of everyday tasks. Staff work with participants to convey, how to manage money, cook meals, perform household cleaning, use a computer, follow sound health and safety procedures, learn social skills, and participate in art and music expression.

Purpose:

This position directly supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This position helps with everyday tasks such as ADL's. These include but are not limited to daily grooming, meal service, risk mitigation and following any applicable behavioral management plans as defined by the resident individual needs.

Essential Duties:

Assist with assessment and evaluation of each client. Assist with direct care needs of the clients under the supervision of the Program Training Manager. These needs also include self-care needs, and documentation of required duties.

Follows daily shift assignment schedule for cleaning and housekeeping duties. Completes assigned rounds between shifts.

Implements electronic and paper documentation of training needs including programming, incident reporting (GER’s), data collection and behavior observations.

Required Qualification:

High School diploma or GED. College or vocational/technical training equal to 30 semester hours can substitute for the required experience.

Must be capable of operating facility vehicle and maintaining a safe driving record if designated to drive. Must be 18 years of age or older.

Preferred Qualifications:

A minimum of one year experience working in a related field preferred but not required.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

Hourly/ $16.50
