Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a full-time Florida Certified Building Inspector to join a large engineering consulting services company in the Orlando, FL, area. This individual will support local cities within this region on inspections of residential, commercial, and industrial properties to ensure building plans, specifications, and drawings comply with Florida building codes and regulations. This role will require extensive interactions with general contractors, city employees, engineers, and other public agencies. We are looking for an individual with a solutions-oriented mindset who can effectively establish and maintain effective working relationships with these individuals. The ability to work independently to perform all building structure, plumbing, electrical, sewerage, and heating system inspections for safety and specification compliance without assistance is crucial for this role. As a Building Inspector, you will be required to go on-site for inspections but can work from home if in-person work is not needed at a given time.

Skills and Requirements

• 3-5 years of Municipal Building and/or Residential Building inspection experience within the State of Florida

   - Standard Building Inspector License from the State of Florida

    - Special Qualifications: Residential with Mechanical, Plumbing or Electrical

   - Strong knowledge of Florida Building Codes and Regulations

   - Strong written and verbal communication

• High School Diploma or equivalent null
