Job Overview

This role as a Strategic Initiatives Manager AMER will be responsible for planning, facilitating and driving cross functional collaboration for AUT AMER strategic initiatives. The role requires a highly organized, results-driven individual with a strategic mindset and effective project management skills. The selected individual will work closely with cross-functional teams and senior leadership to define, plan and execute these business-critical initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic thinking: Collaborate with senior leadership teams to translate key business requirements to strategic initiatives

  • Structure and execution clarity: Translate strategic initiatives into structured actions, that can be executed by the cross functional teams

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Define project priorities, maintain effective communication and provide regular updates on project progress, risks, and issues.

  • Team Leadership: Lead through influence and ensure that cross-functional teams have the clarity and support for execution

  • Risk Management: Proactively Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruption.

  • Project Planning and Management: Develop project plans, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables

  • Project deliverables: Build frameworks for teams to follow, develop executive presentation documents

  • Performance Tracking and Reporting: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure project success, and guide on building digital dashboards

What your background should look like:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business administration or a related field. A Master’s degree or MBA is desirable but not compulsory

  • Formal project management education and PMP certification (Preferred)

  • Experience: 5+ years’ experience – Ideal candidate will have experience in one of the following - corporate PMO / Strategy office or management consulting

  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale, strategic projects.

  • Experience working in and leading a Matrix organization

  • Presentation and communication experience with senior leadership teams.

  • Financial Intelligence including evaluation of projects and business cases

  • Fluency in English required (read, write, and speak)

Additional Desirable Skills but not compulsory

  • Deep understanding of Automotive Industry manufacturing and supply-chain processes, and their associated customer requirements

  • Experience of success in Project Management and NPI in highly technical product portfolio

  • High level of competency in project, program, and resources management

  • Extensive experience working with diverse multicultural and cross functional teams

  • Experience with Waterfall and Agile methodologies

  • Experience with Project Portfolio Management (PPM) tools

  • Experience in influencing cultural change management

  • Experience at tier-1 automotive supplier or OEM supplier

  • Six Sigma process and/or LEAN process methods

  • Experience with change and risk management

  • Knowledge of general automotive APQP process

  • Ability to travel within the Americas region when required to support project objectives

  • Good working knowledge and experience with connector, harness or integrated systems or manufacturing processes (injection molding, plating, stamping, machining, etc.)

COMPENSATION

• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $ 119,380 - $ 179,040 (subject to change dependent on physical location)

• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.

• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
