Overview
THE ROLE:
The 2nd shift Industrial Maintenance Technician III will perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, repair, preventative maintenance, and installation tasks both on the facilities, physical plant equipment, as well as production equipment, and machinery. This position requires demonstration of competency for all activities that either directly or indirectly affect product safety and quality.The individual will work onsite at our state of art Innovation and Manufacturing facility in here Winston-Salem, NC. Starting hourly rate is $30.00-$34.00/Hour plus bonus potential and variety of benefits offered to eligible employees in the US.
HOW YOU WOULD CONTRIBUTE:
Adhere to all company and OSHA safety rules, policies and regulations.
Perform safety and environmental inspections, as required.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Actively perform assigned PMs, PdM tasks, and continuous improvement activities.
Utilize predictive maintenance tools (ultrasonic, vibration analysis, laser alignment).
Proactively look for equipment trends, root causes and variances. Develop action plans for and implement improvements.
Develop projects and process improvement initiatives. Assemble cross-functional teams.
Cross-train Maintenance team on skills as appropriate.
Perform scheduled maintenance on all plant and production equipment.
Quickly respond to and correct equipment mechanical and electrical issues.
Troubleshoot, repair, and replace defective/worn equipment parts, control devices, motors, belts, etc.
Troubleshoot pneumatic/hydraulic systems.
Perform painting, carpentry, sheetrock and flooring repairs.
Perform meeting room set-up and teardown (A/V equipment operation, maintenance, repair).
Perform facility lighting change-outs (interior, exterior).
In-depth knowledge of boilers/environmental stability control room systems.
Perform lab equipment installation, PMs, calibration, and repairs.
In-depth and demonstrated knowledge of PLCs, use Ladder logic (minor code changes) and related controls, with ability to cross-train others.
Perform equipment changeovers. Able to train others and improve changeover tact times.
In-depth and demonstrated knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and fire protection systems.
Operate machine shop equipment, lathe, mill, grinders, drill press, etc.
Proficient in use of welding equipment – gas/MIG/TIG.
Read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics and drawings.
Effectively communicate shift/daily pass downs.
Train others in safe and proper use of aerial lifts.
Dock levelers, dock locks, dock doors (PMs, repairs).
Must be willing to work in a team environment.
Positive attitude, willingness, and desire to learn.
Additional duties as assigned.
This position will require the employee to operate a motorized powered lift i.e. Forklift, Scissor lift, one man lift, etc. A MVR (Motor Vehicle Report) will determine an employee’s eligibility to operate these lifts.
Grade level movement dependent on demonstrated equipment knowledge, tracked via Maintenance Training Matrix.

This position will require the employee to operate a motorized powered lift i.e. Forklift, Scissor lift, one man lift, etc. A MVR (Motor Vehicle Report) will determine an employee’s eligibility to operate these lifts.
A Valid driver's license is required for this position.
Experience:
- 8+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Education:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance Technology/Mechatronics, and/or Associate degree in Electrical/Electronics
HVAC training /experience/ education
Food and Drug Administration (FDA) or other regulatory experience
Food manufacturing or packaging experience, and/or blending equipment, batching operation systems
