Title: Production Scheduler Planner Category: Indirect Labor Location: Winona, MN, US Requsition ID: 1809 Salary_Range: $49,000.00 To $62,000.00 Annually Description: On-Site position in Winona, MN Monday - Friday Benefits Package: Medical, Dental, Vision, company sponsored Short Term Disability and Life Insurance. BASIC FUNCTION: Execute daily production plans based on customer orders, targeted stock levels and lead times. Schedule and monitor work center capacities daily and determine the results of late, expedited, or rescheduled work orders. Communication of product availability and adjusting priorities based on demand needs. Must have the ability to work in partnership and communicate with managers and supervisors about production planning responsibilities. Serve as secondary resource for production forecasting and forward-looking tasks assigned by Master Scheduler. QUALIFICATIONS: Two-year degree in a Technical or Business field or 2 years experience. Two years related experience in a manufacturing field or inventory control. MRP user environment is required. Fabrication, make-to-stock and make-to-order knowledge. APICS certification preferred. Must have competency with Microsoft Office products. Must be able to build relationships and communicate professionally. Ability to speak, read, write and understand English. RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Coordinating production workflow for departments and work centers within Manufacturing operations 1. Planning and prioritizing operations to lessen lead times and maximize outputs. 1. Determining necessary production manpower equipment and materials for production needs within key departments and work centers 1. Scheduling production shifts based on demand and availability of key resources. 1. Issuance of work orders, relieves inventory, and monitoring component orders on a timely basis. 1. Monitoring departmental schedules and work centers statuses to ensure accuracy of information. Communication to Manufacturing Supervisors on tardy work orders or lagging production. 1. Reports on schedule progress and on the status of all work orders weekly, highlighting any potential problems that may arise based on current visibility, knowledge of equipment downtime, or other manufacturing activities. 1. Monitor material flow and identify any shortages or bottlenecks within manufacturing process. 1. Identify and resolve problems relating to inventory. 1. Evaluate incoming raw material orders to assist in the creation of production schedule. 1. Serve as backup resource to Master Scheduler and understanding core responsibilities for creating master schedules and forecasting. 1.
