Thern Inc 2nd Shift CNC Plasma Operator in Winona, Minnesota

Thern Inc., a manufacturer of winches and cranes, is looking for someone to set up and operate a Plasma Table to cut and trim parts, along with operating a saw and other pieces of machining equipment. You will verify the quality of parts produced by using measuring equipment to ensure that parts meet blueprint specifications. There is also a certain level of responsibility in self direction, scheduling/planning operations, and labor relations to fulfill this role. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Studies and understands blueprints, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements. Importing files (CNC and DXF) while programming software to nest plate. Cutting and moving material as required. Select proper amperage of gas flow required for specific material and thickness requirements. Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance and adjust machine controls or control media as required. Inspects and documents all critical measurements of product during and after manufacturing process to ensure it meets specifications. Maintain a clean and organized work area and maintain all equipment, to like new appearance, according to maintenance plans and established procedures.
