We are seeking to hire a Principal Specialist, General Management to join our team.
The Subcontracts Administrator is responsible for the supporting of Subcontract Program Management activities between Collins Aerospace and major Subcontractors during the life cycle of a product/program/new initiative or co-production of products while ensuring compliance with Company/Government policies and procedures. The primary focus of this position is to support Subcontract Program Managers in procurement related activities, consistent with approved Company/Government policies and procedures.
This role will be performed Onsite at our Collins Aerospace location in Windsor Locks, CT, or Houston, TX or Cedar Rapids, IA.
What You Will Do
Primary responsibilities will include support to the Subcontract Program Management team through Procurement related efforts, including but not limited to:
SAP based Purchase Order (PO) administration
Processing of Purchase Requisitions
Processing of other workflows impacting existing POs (e.g. change orders, quote-only workflows)
Processing schedule updates based on input from the Subcontract Program Managers (SAP PO date administration)
Tracking Procurement related tasks through Ariba system for Subcontract Program Management
Working with the Subcontract Program Manager to resolve internal dependencies impacting receipt of materials (e.g. Supplier Requests for Information)
Tracking spend with suppliers / providing input to material sales forecast
Assists with organizing compliant contractual documents in accordance with Company and Government policies
Timely processing of invoices from suppliers through the Accounts Payable team
Secondary responsibilities may include support to Subcontract Program Management in the following areas:
Provides support and coordination of action item tracking
Assists in seeking out and investigating qualified suppliers and manufacturers, establishes non-disclosure agreements
Supports minor negotiation activities with suppliers
Prepares supplier performance metrics and data
Assignments will be supervised by higher level Subcontract Program Managers or Subcontract department leadership
Develops solutions to problems which require ingenuity, creativity, and innovativeness
Assists with supply chain issues on programs which are highly complexity or part of a larger program
Strong willingness to learn supply chain and subcontracting processes, tools, and skills necessary to contribute to development of company objectives and principles and to achieve goals in creative and effective ways
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or a n Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements
Qualifications We Prefer
Experience with Supply Chain Management, Procurement, SAP and Ariba (software tools) knowledge
U.S. Government Procurement Compliance knowledge
Ability to prioritize multiple work requirements with various deadlines

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
