Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Sourcing: Craft and execute cutting-edge sourcing strategies to meet our procurement needs, focusing on cost reduction, quality enhancement, and supplier reliability.

  • Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and cultivate relationships with key suppliers to secure the best terms and performance.

  • Market Analysis: Stay ahead of the curve by conducting in-depth market research and analysis to keep abreast of industry trends, pricing, and emerging suppliers.

  • Negotiation: Lead high-stakes negotiations with suppliers to secure advantageous terms, pricing, and contracts.

  • Risk Management: Proactively identify and mitigate risks in the supply chain to ensure seamless continuity and reliability.

  • Cost Efficiency: Drive continuous improvement by seeking out opportunities for cost savings and efficiency enhancements within the procurement process.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and finance, to align procurement strategies with our business objectives.

  • Reporting: Deliver insightful reports on procurement activities, cost savings, supplier performance, and market trends.

Essential Skills:

  • 5-8 years of experience in manufacturing strategic buying or as a Commodity/Category Manager.

  • Proven expertise in high-level negotiations.

  • Strong supplier management acumen.

  • Mastery in category risk management.

  • Lean and manufacturing experience.

  • Proficiency in MRP and planning.

  • Solid buying experience.

  • Exceptional data entry and negotiation skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Automotive industry experience is highly desirable.

  • Experience with engines and compressors.

  • ERP/MRP experience (Oracle, SAP, Epicor).

  • Ability to travel up to 25%.

  • Proven track record in sourcing for new customers and finding optimal solutions.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $100000.00
