TLD- America Electrical Drafter (Windsor, CT) in Windsor, Connecticut

POSITION SUMMARY The Electrical Drafter will create schematics, wiring diagrams, and electrical assemblies, used in industrial products. These products include automotive style electrical harnesses and control cabinet wiring. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (Other duties may be assigned) Draws electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, wire to/from lists and electrical harness drawings. These electrical drawings will be IEC standard drawn in SEE Electrical, or SolidWorks. Produces original drawings of equipment designs, working from engineering sketches, marked prints and ideas. Checks drawings and layouts for technical correctness and adherence to engineering standards. Estimates time requirements for assigned drawing/design work. Review and approve Engineering Change Requests. Perform data entry and release functions within ERP system. Other assignments as designated by Supervisor and/or Department Manager. OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES: ISO 9001: establish standards, procedures, and other documents in accordance with ISO 9001. Maintain the currency with respect to technical and supervisory skills by attending training classes, special technical and administration courses; seminars, exhibits and trade shows are needed. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Strong written, verbal, analytical and interpersonal skills. OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Prefer ERP system experience, SEE Electrical, SolidWorks experience, knowledge of Microsoft Office. EDUCATION: High School diploma or equivalent with CAD certification.
