Two Dot Consulting (2DOT), an affiliate of Montrose Environmental Group, is an interdisciplinary Environmental and Engineering firm based in downtown Arvada, Colorado. We have offices throughout CO + WY and over 25 scientists, biologists, and engineers with a combined 230 years of experience. A DAY IN THE LIFE Our Environmental Specialist (Scientist) I-II position is located in Windsor, CO.

As a key member of the 2DOT team, this role will be responsible for a full range of activities including: * Support a variety of upstream oil and gas projects in the northeastern front range of Colorado and potentially other areas (UT, WY, NM, & TX). * Collection of surface and subsurface samples from many oil and gas locations. * The position will require travel in a company field vehicle to oil and gas locations in northeastern CO. * Technical writing including proposals, technical reports, and senior level reviews of peer prepared reports * Proven track record of providing quality, on-time products for clients, both internal and external. * Ability to work concurrently on several projects each at different phases. * Perform site inspections for Stormwater (SW) compliance including evaluating control measures and stabilization evaluations. * Perform site inspections for Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasures (SPCC) compliance including basic equipment or berm measurements. * Conduct SW control measure repairs. * Compile SW and SPCC reports and Visio drawings.

YOUR EXPERTISE AND SKILLS To perform this job successfully, individuals must be able to perform each duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. * Bachelor's degree in environmental science or another related field (desired, but not required). * Minimum of 1 year of related experience (or education). * A strong background of coursework and/or experience in environmental science or another related field and field data collection. * Safety-minded. * Experience with surface and subsurface soil sample collection, preservation, and documentation. * Experience working with Colorado ECMC, and Colorado Oil and Gas rules and regulations. * Experience and a strong ability to effectively communicate with regulatory agencies and clients. * Researching and interpreting federal, state, and local regulations on a project-specific basis to assess project feasibility and requirements; and interface with regulatory agencies. * Attention to detail, ability to work independently, willingness to work as part of a team, and the ability to stay positive and effective during long days in the field are critical. * Willing to work in sometimes diffi ult conditions with physical challenges. Physical challenges typically encountered may include extreme hot and cold conditions, biological hazards (animals and plants), and industrial oil and gas related equipment. * The successful applicant will be safety conscious and continually assess ways to mitigate hazards. * Applicants must be able to work with and communicate with a diverse group of co-workers and clients to provide high quality and efficient work products. * Data entry and excellent oral and written communication skills are desired. * Demonstrated ability to perform basic data analyses, compile data, and write technical documents. * Demonstrated ability to use and create spreadsheets or databases to summarize data and create tables. * Experience with electronic data collection (e.g. tablet). * Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and enjoyment of working outdoors. * Attention to detail. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Physical ability to perform outdoor field work (e.g., hiking, digging, driving UTV). * Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs. * Ability to drive long distance, safely navigate using various mapping programs. * Ability to walk up to three miles per day (typical days require less than one mile of walking). * Physical ability to perform outdoor field work in remote settings
